School Information

Overview

Ford Elementary is the ninth elementary school in the Georgetown Independent School District, opening in the fall of 2004.  We are proud to be rated for the fourth year as Exemplary by the Texas Education Agency.  We serve over 600 students in grades K-5.

Ford students live in neighborhoods on the west side of Georgetown along Williams Drive.

Ford Elementary was named in honor of Dr. Jo Ann Ford, an educator who served as principal of Carver, Pickett and Williams Elementary, and Benold Middle School before her retirement from the district in 2000. She was widely respected for her dedication to children and to the community.  Dr. Ford often visited the children at her namesake school before she passed away in 2006.
